Barack Obama must have thought he'd seen the last of his old Chrysler 300C. But just like a bad penny, it has turned up again on eBay. But we're getting a little ahead of ourselves. Let's start from the beginning, as the story is so much better that way......

Washington state headed toward tougher emission standards

Obama is making cars more expensive. That's great. Really, no problem. Car manufacturers are selling cars hand-over-fist. They can take some of that huge profit and add little emissions gadgets here and there.

President Barack Obama took the first step today toward allowing Washington and 13 other states to implement tough, new auto tailpipe emission standards, fulfilling a campaign pledge and reversing a controversial Bush administration decision made over the advice of federal scientists and lawyers.

Large fine may deter records withholding

This is a huge win for transparency in Government. It sends the right message to staffers that have been working for government way too long.

Lynn uniquely qualified for new role

It is disingenuous to announce strict rules regarding lobbyists and then waive them for an appointment. Obama has nominiated a former Ratheon lobbyist for the Deputy Defense Secretary.

A quality leader is careful to implement rules because they will live by the same rules. President Obama is clearly stating that rules and policy that he sets forth is good for everyone else, but he is above them. This is not a mark of a good leader, and shows a lack of integrity. It's probably his political upbringing in the corrupt Chicago area shining through.

I hope the press keeps the pressure on him.
