Today labor unions got a boost from Obama's formation of a "Middle Class Families and Organized Labor" task force. They have cited how FDR's programs created the working class movement through organized labor.
Obama appointed VP Biden to head up the task force. They are launching a website called www.strongmiddleclass.gov
Obama and Biden keep talking about how this is going to be a cornerstone of the economic recovery plan and that this is going to strengthen our economy.
From my standpoint, I don't know one business owner that wants to operate under the constraints of organized labor. If I owned a business that wanted to go union, I would close it. Look at Boeing. Why do you think that they are laying off workers and outsourcing to other countries? Labor unions break companies. Unions foster complacency not productivity.
